Reminder: Multi-day outage scheduled for Cheyenne, Yellowstone, Geyser and Caldera

The Cheyenne, Yellowstone, Geyser, and Caldera clusters will be unavailable from 8 a.m. MDT on Tuesday, October 31, until 6 p.m. MDT Friday, November 3, to allow CISL staff to install new storage hardware components and perform system maintenance.

Users will be unable to log in during the outage period. A system reservation will be put in place on batch jobs Monday evening, Oct 30. After the reservation is in place, jobs that are submitted with specified job times that overlap the reservation period will remain on hold until the systems are restored to service. Running jobs that have not finished when the outage begins will be killed and will need to be resubmitted after service is restored.

CISL will inform users through the Notifier service when the systems are returned to production.
