January 26, 2012

NCAR users attending the American Meteorological Society (AMS) meeting in New Orleans, January 24-25, have several opportunities to learn more about NCAR's forthcoming data-centric Yellowstone environment.

CISL will host a Yellowstone Allocations Briefing on Tuesday (Jan. 24) at 4:30 p.m. at the Hilton New Orleans Riverside in Salon D21/24. During this session, David Hart, CISL's User Services manager, will describe Yellowstone, the various allocations opportunities, and tips for writing successful allocation requests. Light hors d'oeuvres will be served.

In addition, Hart will be at the NCAR booth (#316) to showcase the Yellowstone system and be on hand to answer user questions. Presentations are scheduled for Tuesday (Jan. 24) at 11 a.m. and 3 p.m. and again on Wednesday (Jan. 25) at 10:30 a.m. and 1:30 p.m.

The Yellowstone environment at NWSC will greatly expand the opportunities for researchers in the geosciences and related fields. For more details, see https://www2.cisl.ucar.edu/resources/yellowstone
