Second notice: Cheyenne maintenance downtime scheduled for February 25-29

January 29, 2020

The Cheyenne cluster will be unavailable to users in late February to allow CISL staff and HPE engineers to perform critical infrastructure maintenance, repairs, and system software updates. The maintenance period will begin early Tuesday morning, February 25, and the system is expected to be returned to service no later than Saturday evening, February 29. This will be Cheyenne’s last scheduled outage until the 3rd quarter of this year.

The Casper cluster, GLADE and Campaign Storage file systems, data-access nodes, and HPSS will remain available throughout most of the week except for an approximately four-hour window beginning at 8 p.m. MST February 25, while NETS reboots a key component of their network infrastructure. Watch for more details and updates in the CISL Daily Bulletin.
