Registration open, free for Improving Scientific Software Conference in March 2021

Registration is now open for the UCAR Software Engineering Assembly’s Improving Scientific Software Conference 2021, which will be held virtually March 22-26. The conference agenda will be available in February. Registration is free for both presenters and attendees.

Organizers are accepting abstracts until 5 p.m. MST on January 10 for talks, tutorials and papers on several topics: Influence of computer architecture on scientific software design; modern tools for data analysis, processing, and visualization, or for scientific workflows; best practices for software engineering in scientific disciplines; machine learning; containers in scientific software, and leveraging cloud computing resources for HPC development and operations.

Talks may have an accompanying paper. Papers will be peer-reviewed and published. Only papers presented through an oral talk at the conference will be considered for publication.
