Data transfer services upgrade scheduled for Tuesday, February 12

February 13, 2019

NCAR’s  Data Transfer Services will be unavailable on Tuesday, February 12, starting at approximately 8 a.m. MST to allow CISL staff to install new networking components. These services are expected to be restored by 12:00 noon. The upgrades will include newer, faster 100 GbE hardware, which is expected to improve system performance significantly.

During the upgrade period the following data transfer services will not be available:

  • Globus transfers (active transfers will be paused, including those to and from NCAR Campaign Storage)

  • the HPSS queue

  • data access nodes

The Cheyenne and Casper clusters and the GLADE file system will remain available throughout the upgrade.
